Roses For Recycling
The Slippery Rock High School SAGE Club did a Valentine’s Day fundraiser for a foundation that helps reduce pollution in the ocean. The fundraiser was to sell Roses and Carnations of three colors to students and staff for Valentine’s Day. The flowers that were bought a week prior to Valentine’s Day and were delivered to the chosen receiver with a kind message from the buyer. Many friends, couples and teachers took part in the event to help their school club raise money.
Overall the High School club was very successful with the fundraiser. Now the club plans on donating their money. The 4Ocean foundation is where the club has decided to donate the money raised. The company also makes bracelets out of recycled glass, plastic, and other litter.
