Senior Drum major Keven Rall leads the band at Franklin on September 4. As a three year drum major, which is a rare occurrence, Rall says, “It feels great. Mr. Fine actually like me now.”

Weeks of practice in the hot summer sun, countless hours out on the football field, and numerous weekends spent traveling to schools across the state. It may sound like high school football, but it instead describes the high school marching band.

“I feel prepared for this season,” senior drum major Keven Rall states. “[The band] works really hard in the hot summer days to get the moment and the song right when they dance and move around in the stands or on the field. They work so hard on this because it’s what they love. When the night comes where they perform, the fans have something to dance to and something to watch during half time.”

Junior Drum Major Mason Borland watches Keven Rall as the conduct during the Sharon game on September 14. Borland says, “I think Keven is showing me what to do and what not to do.”

Junior drum major  Mason Borland states, “I don’t feel like we work together more like a teacher to a student. I learn more than I actually do, I wouldn’t change anything about this year so far.”

During band camp the Rocket Marching Band and  the Rock’n-ettes perfected their halftime routine. They still practice during the season, so every time they play for pregame and halftime, they get a little better each time.
